WING IT! Apply Winged Eyeliner Like a Pro
6:23 AMEyeliner alone can give your face a “wow” factor. A winged eyeliner creates a more dramatic look. But applying eyeliner can be tricky for beginners, especially liquid eyeliner. It can get really messy on your first try. Fret not as it does not require tons of practice. You will be surprised how easy it is once you get the hang of it. If you are in a hurry there is a quick sure fire way to create that perfect winged eyeliner. This technique works whether you are using gel, liquid or felt tip eyeliner.
You only need two things:
- A tape
- Eyeliner of your choice except pencil eyeliner.
Lightly trace the lash line from the inner corner to the outer corner of your eyes, keeping it as tight as possible. Extend the line, it will form the wing. Do not worry about getting some eyeliner on the tape you will find out why later.
Create a triangle at the outer corner of the eye then create another line above the lash line. Let the lines meet at the inner corner of your eye.
Fill the outline that you have created then allow liquid eyeliner to dry, it usually takes about 10-15 seconds. This is important for those with hooded eyes. Then, remove the tape and that’s it. You get a neatly done winged eyeliner.
Once you have already mastered doing a winged eyeliner, you will not be needing the tape anymore and you will be ready to experiment with other eyeliner techniques.
