My Expectations

• And, healthy scalp equals healthy -hair, right?
• My nails do not easily break
• My skin feels more youthful and glowing
• My face look refreshed
• I did not experience weight gain
• No allergies and upset stomach, heartburns or headaches
• I totally forgot I used to have arthritis
• More regular bowel movements
• I feel more energetic
• I can concentrate better
• Convenient to use
• No need to take separate vitamin C
• FDA APPROVED

• It's whitening effects are subtle and minimal
• Sometimes I feel a slight sting under my tongue
• And it is a bit pricey. One box sells for P2,380
• Occasional breakouts

FINAL VERDICT

 

I am going to start off by saying that if skin whitening is not your thing, then please look away. This article will talk about a skin bleaching product that I have recently tried.

Please take note that the results of using this product may also depend on your skin condition and your skin type so please remember that this is based on my own experience.

I have nothing against dark skin. I personally think that any skin color is beautiful. However, for me, I want to have a fairer, brighter and whiter skin. I cannot say that all Filipinas are addicted into getting a whiter complexion but for me, it is my personal desire to look whiter and more flawless.

If you have been following me on this blog, then you know that I have been taking glutathione pills. The good thing is that I am a shade or two lighter now with one slight problem. My legs seem to be the most stubborn parts of my body where the whitening effect of the master oxidant is having a real hard time. As for my face, it is in the shade that I want it to be.

So for my legs, I thought about bleaching it, to help it "catch up." While I was researching on how to bleach legs at home, I saw this product called GLAMOUR SKIN BLEACHING CREAM. It is a popular product sold by the same maker of this other bleach called NAVARRO's bleach. I will state my reasons for going for the former in the later parts of the article.

The product looks promising with all the reviews, the positive comments and the before-and-after pictures that, I have got to admit, looks to good to be true. So I bought it from a local distributor for P750. I am sure it is cheaper to buy it online but, with shipping cost, I thought you really would not be saving much unless you are buying it wholesale.

I was very excited, I thought that this product would give me whiter legs in seven days. In fact, they also have this so called "seven-day challenge" going on. And I was told by the lady who was selling it that the product is safe and effective and that it is DTI and FDA-approved.

Before I give you my final say on GLAMOUR SKIN BLEACHING CREAM let me tell you a bit about it.
So the product comes in a 300 g tub with labels printed with flowers. The lavender and the blue hues makes is look premium. The bleach ingredients, which are indicated on the side, are as follows:
The product also suggested that you do a patch test. So, if  you are allergic to it then you can forget it.

Furthermore, instructions say that you need to apply an ample amount of the bleach on target areas and leave it on 30-60 mins. It also suggested that you use it along with their whitening and quite expensive other products. Lastly, it said that you can use it as often as you want to achieve desired results.

The reason that made me buy this product was that it claims that it is super gentle even on sensitive skin. The lady was proud to say that there will be no stinging or itching sensation (except when there is a break in your skin) even if you leave it for more than 60 minutes. She also said that some people would leave it for 4 hours...SERIOUSLY?! Bleach on your skin for four hours.

Yet, I used it anyway. There was a time when I left it on for two hours and I am glad to say my skin did not fall apart. By the way, because I did not like to apply the product with my bare hands, I used an applicator that I got from a hair removing product.



Oh well, true to its claim. It felt gentle on the skin. There was no stinging, no itching, no discomfort and it had a mild floral scent. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 as the highest, I would rate this product 1 because it is not as effective as the makers claim it to be.

I don't know if there are those who have the same experience but for me, it was a total waste of MOOLA. GLAMOUR SKIN BLEACHING CREAM did not deliver the results that you see on Facebook.

On my first day, I left it for 30 minutes when I rinsed it I was fooled to think the skin was whiter because it was super soft and a bit shiny but when the skin has dried its back to what it is before the product was applied. To be fair, I told myself may I should use it for 2-5 more times before seeing results.

I ended up feeling disappointed after seven days because I saw very minimal results. My legs was a bit lighter but I would have achieved the same results with a Kojic Acid soap that sells for only P150.

What a total waste of money. I threw away P700 for nothing. *sob* *sob*

To be a bit fair, let us say that the one I bought was fake or was past its shelf life. Or, maybe, poor handling made it ineffective. But you ask me if I would buy it again, HELL NO!

I would love to hear the thoughts of those who have tried GLAMOUR SKIN BLEACHING CREAM. Did it work on you? NO? YES?

1. It is very effective! I saw glowing and super soft skin as early as one week.\
2. It has whitening effect. I noticed that I was a shade lighter after one bottle. But take note that I have been taking glutathione supplements for many weeks before taking Ishigaki.
3. My face is less oily but not dry.
4. It is not difficult to swallow.
5. I did not get any upset stomach, no food cravings
6. It has no effect on your mood.
7. I have better sleep.
8. Best of all, it is affordable.

1. It gave me pimples. It is not that bad but one or two would show up every once in a while. When one pimple goes away, another shows up. You know…
2. I do not like the yellowish glow it gives you. Some like it, but with the other brands the glow was kind of rosy.
3. The supplier run out of stock so it will take a week before I can continue with a second bottle.

1. I still have freckles and I do not believe that glutathione can erase that.
2. I have large pores, although they appear less prominent, I don’t expect glutathione to erase them too.
3. I have arthritis in my wrists and joints in the hands and I haven’t suffered from it since I started taking glutathione pills.

• It is only Php 990 per bottle of 60 capsules
• It has plenty of positive reviews.

Without hesitation I purchased one bottle and hoped that it would lighten my skin in no time.

About the product...the labels say that Relumins is from a US Lab. It has 60 vegetarian capsules and that it claims to help you achieve and sustain maximum levels of Glutathione in the body.

And...directions say that you take 2 capsules daily. Since a lot of people were taking capsule 30 minutes before breakfast, and another capsule after dinner, I decided to do the same. And like most people, I take every capsule with a tablet of vitamin C that has twice the amount of glutathione.

Now, here is something that people need to understand about this glutathione supplement from Relumins. Many users think that one capsule contains 1000mg of the glutathione complex. However, let me emphasize that, according to the bottle, the recommended serving size is 2 capsules and that 2 capsules together contain that 1000mg of glutathione complex.

• I was glowing just days after I started taking Relumins Advance Nutrition Gluta-1000
• My skin became a shade lighter after 1 week
• I experienced no diarrhea, no stomachache, heartburns, no food cravings, no palpitations
• Very affordable at P990 per bottle that is good for 1 month use.
• The rotten egg smell is not that repulsive.

UNFORTUNATELY:

• It may not be strong enough as its effectiveness might be reduced by other medicine. I could not see anymore skin whitening effects on my 3rd and 4th week and that was maybe because I was taking antibiotics and pain killers due to toothache.
• I think there are other brands that can render faster and better results.

I think I will purchase Relumins Advance Nutrition Gluta-1000 again in the future but at the moment I just want a brand that can make my skin become whiter faster.

What is Glutathione?

I am not in the position to mention all those benefits so I will mention only the things I expect to get from taking glutathione.Those benefits are:

• Anti-aging
• Stress management
• Healthier liver
• Better sleep
• Stronger Immune System
• Skin Whitening

I am not going to lie so I will honestly say the biggest reason why I decided to take glutathione capsules is Skin Whitening.  Initially, that was my only reason. I am glad to have learned along the way that glutathione has many wonderful effects to the body.

So what is L-Gluta Power 700?

This is a the Glutathione supplement distributed by Royale, Filipino-owned corporation that sells high quality health and wellness product, so says their website.

One bottle of L-Gluta Power 700 contains 30 capsules and each capsule has 500mg of L Glutathione in reduced form. One capsule also contains 100 mg of Vitamin E and 100mg of Grapeseed Extract.

The bottle says that as a health supplement, one capsule a day is enough. If you, however, want to achieve whiter and fairer skin faster then you need to take 2 capsules per day.


WEEK 1:

I took one capsule a day with 2 tablets of vitamin C (500mg each tablet) and 1 gel capsule of vitamin E. Why? I just followed what others usually do. Even if Royale's glutathione supplement is formulated with vitamin c I took separate tablets of vitamin c anyway.

Glutathione oxidizes quickly that is why you need to take vitamin c. Ascorbic acid, helps ensure that the body absorbs glutathione.

With only one capsule per day:

1. My skin became brighter
2. I noticed better sleep
3. I started to feel less stressed
4. My skin was softer
5. I felt like I was blooming
6. No whitening effect seen yet

WEEK 2 AND UNTIL I FINISHED THE WHOLE BOTTLE:

Because I was interested in becoming fairer and whiter in less amount of time, I decided to take two capsules per day. I also had to up the dosage of my vitamin c intake.

For a couple of days, I had slight diarrhea. I also had a few pimple breakouts but they were not so bad.

The good news is that my husband noticed that my skin got lighter indeed. My skin was super soft to touch and I was having that nice and subtle glow. The scars on some parts of my body also started to fade.

Well to make the long story short. IT WORKS and you can just imagine how nice it would be to continuously take this glutathione supplement from Royale.

What I like about Royale's L-Gluta Power 700

It is effective. It is safe to use. It has a slight rotten egg smell but after taking it there is no after-taste. No headaches or upset stomach, but I did felt slight diarrhea a few days after doubling the dosage. It was just probably my body trying to adjust.

The only thing I do not like about it...

It is quite expensive. Other than that I have nothing negative to say about L-Gluta Power 700 from Royale. I will definitely purchase this product again if I have more moola.

I switched to a cheaper brand and I will tell you soon about it.

This is an update, one week later. Am I whiter? Do I have glowing skin? Did I miss anything? Well read on, loves.

As I have promised last week, I will deliver a weekly update while I am taking glutathione supplements for achieving whiter, glowing skin. The brand that I am currently using is Royale Gluta Power 700

DISCLAIMER: This is not a sponsored post. I am neither reviewing the product mentioned. I am just a user. So basically I am documenting my experience with taking gluta capsules. I might review this brand after 1 month.

Going back to Royale's Gluta Power 700, 1 capsule contains 500 mg of L-Glutathione, 100mg of Vitamin C and 100mg of Grapeseed Extract. According to the maker of this supplement:

1. Glutathione lightens the skin in increased dosage by inhibiting melanin production. Generally, glutathione boosts the immune system and detoxifies the body. The skin whitening power of this compound is just a side effect.
2. For whiter skin you need to take two capsules daily but if you only plan to use it as an antioxidant or you just want to be healthier, 1 capsule a day should suffice.
3. Grape Seed Extract is like a booster because it is '20x more potent than vitamin E' so they say. This one is said to be beneficial to the cardiovascular system.

Moving on, even if this brand has added Vitamin C to the glutathione capsule, I still take it with 2 tablets of Vitamin C. Glutathione needs this vitamin in order for the body to absorb it.

For now enough of the scientific facts. Did my skin lighten?

I don't see anything...At least not yet. Maybe because I only took 1 capsule per day for the past seven days. Glowing skin, i think so but it is not so obvious yet. I just feel like my skin looks a bit better compared to when I was not taking these capsules.

The good news is that my husband told me, I appear lighter than I was before...hmmmm...that is encouraging. We shall see more effects in the next couple of weeks.

On the other hand, what changes did I feel? Well, I am impressed that:

1. I feel less tired, despite having only an average of 4 hours of sleep everyday (come on please understant I have a 3 y/o son with special needs and an online job...so good luck to me...hehehe. Carry lang, bes!)
2. I feel like I have more energy. Oh, thank god!
3. I can concentrate better.
4. And the on and off pain in my wrist is GONE! 

A round of applause for the mighty capsules!


Side effects:

1. Sometimes I feel like I am having diarrhea, but it is not that bad. Feels like lang
2. The increased vitamin C consumption makes me want to eat more.
3. I have very small breakouts, not so alarming, though!

And the final verdict...

I will continue taking this for the health benefits. I still do want to have whiter skin in the long run. So in the next following days, I will take two capsules per day. 1 in the morning and 1 before bedtime. Then I will write another update next week.
