Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Honest Review
11:12 PMDoes Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser really make the cut?
Recently, I wrote about face primers and based on my experience with certain brands, it is indeed worth the money. But of course, we have to consider that what works for me might not work for others.
Then, I came across this product from Maybelline. As a face primer, it is really cheap (less than $20) compared to other popular brands. So why not give it a try?
To be honest, I have super oily skin. I also have noticeable pores and I live in a place where it is normally hot and humid. And what does that mean? It means that where I am from, it is a struggle to keep makeup from smudging, caking and last longer throughout the day.
In a previous article that I wrote, it is said that a good face primer is the answer to the aforementioned challenge. So is Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser a good buy?
It is given that a woman should start with a clean face. So after washing, toning and moisturizing my face, I put this product on. Amazingly, it does mattify my skin and reduces the visibility of my pores. At that point, my face was good to go.
But say you want to proceed with putting light makeup?
Foundation
I put on my favorite gel foundation, IN2IT Sheer Natural Gel Foundation, and this primer indeed did some wonder. The gel foundation was easier to apply. The only problem is that on a hot day, this primer from Maybelline did not really do a very good job in keeping the foundation neatly on my skin.Maybe the two products are simply not compatible with each other, but I would rather use the gel foundation sans the Instant Pore Eraser. What is good, however, is that this thing works well with Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation.
Oily Skin
For those with super oily skin, like mine, this primer does not really work miracles. Although it may be a good product to have on days that are not really super hot. But don't expect much from this one.
The final verdict:
This product seems to work well alone. It mattifies the skin and does reduce the visibility of fine lines and pores on a regular day. It also does help makeup glide smoothly on your face. It is fairly a good product when the weather is cool and you are not sweating. Just don't really expect much when it is super humid. In this case, it is good to always have some tissue and a hand fan with you...just in case.
Disclaimer.
This is my own honest opinion about Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. It is based on my own personal experience with the product. I am not advertising anything in this article.
