5 Easy Ways to Avoid Having Wrinkles and Fine Lines Around the Eyes

I am afraid of injections or any other surgical procedure for the skin. However, I am neither a fan of wrinkles. The good news is that there are habits or routines that, when started early and done regularly, can help minimize or delay the appearance of wrinkles or lines especially around the eyes.

 
 
The items in this article are inexpensive practices that you can add to your daily routine. For people like me, who are afraid of sharp things, Botox or anything invasive should be the last option. Better yet, it would be nice to avoid.
 
How to avoid wrinkles and fine line around the eye area? Let's get right to it.
 

1. Wear sunglasses

The sun's rays are one of the main causes of darkening and premature aging of the skin. To protect your eyes and the surrounding skin, wear sunnies with UVA/UVB protection. Now, you have a good excuse to wear those big sunglasses when you are out in the sun. It is not a just a fad anymore.

The bonus: it helps you avoid squinting, which is also believed to cause wrinkles in the long run....

2. Wear Sunscreen

In addition to wearing sunglasses, block the harmful rays of the sun and keep it from damaging your face by wearing sunscreen. Go for the brand that offers at least SPF 15.

 

3. Keep your skin hydrated

Moisturize regularly as it helps the skin retain suppleness and elasticity. Find a moisturizer that also offers sun protection. Moreover, there are other ways to keep your skin hydrated such as drinking plenty of water, using a humidifier in your bedroom. Even having plants indoors can help keep some humidity in the air and keep your skin from drying out.
 
 

4. Avoid alcohol and smoking

These two are bad for the skin overall, so you do the math.

5. De puff using Tea Bags

If you are starting to see wrinkles and eye bags, especially when you wake up, you just probably need to de-puff using a very common item--TEA BAGS. Those who love drinking green tea will love this. Put those soaked tea bags in the fridge. When you wake up with puffy eyes, put them on and chillax for at least five minutes. The anti-oxidants in green tea and the cold can work wonders and make you look like you have a good night sleep.
