Crown Regency Resort and Convention Center Boracay: A Great Place to Stay

The family spent the weekend in Boracay and we indeed made a great choice when we booked a hotel room in Crown Regency Resort and Convention Center for two nights.

We encountered no hassle when we checked in. Our two key cards were handed to us in less than 15 minutes--after the receptionist checked our IDs. We were given a room in the third floor that has a nice view of their gigantic swimming pool.
Our hotel room had two queen-sized beds; the three kids comfortably shared one bed and my husband and I shared the other. There was also a cable TV and ref, sink and water heater in an area that served as a small pantry.
Moving on, the bathroom was spacious and great: complete with shower, bathtub, toilet and sink and, of course, a pair each of complimentary bath gel, shampoo, bath soaps, toothbrushes and tiny tubes of toothpaste. I almost forgot that there were 2 boxes with 3 cotton swabs in each and a hair dryer with a cradle mounted on the wall.
Seeing the bath tub, I was glad I brought my DIY Bath Soak. I had a feeling that I should bring a small bottle of the lavender scented bath salts.
Moving on, the facility we liked the most was the gigantic swimming pool, which had machine-operated waves that turned on/off at a certain schedule. The kids frolicked in the pool the entire afternoon of our second day. They even have a slide that went all the way down from the third floor of the hotel. It was safe for both children and adults. I, myself, went down the slide a couple of times.
They also have an oceanarium that housed some species of big fishes, a sea turtle and little sharks among others. The hotel also has a casino, a bar and restaurant (but we did not go in those two places) and a 24-hour convenient store.
Overall, Crown Regency Resort and Convention Center has a pleasing atmosphere with clean hotel room amenities and facilities. I also have to comment their staff for their amazing hospitality.
On the other hand, this would not be a real review if I did not honestly point out a few things. First off, the small refrigerator was empty. Other hotels that we have been to have some drinks and chocolates in their mini refrigerators.Why didn't they have anything in it at that time?
Next, the air conditioner was functioning but it looked like it already needed to be replaced. It was not strong enough to make the room cold unless you shut the curtains to block the sun. However, don't worry we were not sweating. Still, I have to mention it.
Also, I think the bathroom needs an update. The sealant around the sides of the bathtub were cracking and the openings had a slight funny smell. Another thing, for some reason the hair dryer would work continuously for only about 1 minute. After that, you have to give it some time to rest before it works again. Not much of a big deal but I hope they do something about this.
Lastly, one disappointing thing with housekeeping. On our second day, we requested for them to clean our room. No one came. Personally, I did not mind but some guests would surely complain.
Needless to say, we enjoyed our stay in Crown Regency Resort and Convention Center. I would recommend it to my friends and relatives and given the chance, we will gladly come back.

ReplyDeleteWow! This place looks amazingly beautiful! I can’t take my eyes off these pictures. Does it also have a convention center? Because I might visit this place next month and it is also my husband’s birthday next month. Therefore, I would need a place for celebrating his birthday.
